I am currently a Junior at Indiana University, aspiring in the Finance field.Coming from a family with a strong finance background, I have had a clear image of what my future would look like. As a Finance major I have had several past experiences in this field. I worked as a social media intern at BoxMySpace to monitor the company’s social media accounts and developed customer relations and also increased the company service sales significantly. This experience gave me insight into the real world of business today and sparked my interest in the finance field. During my time in high school, I was the Vice-Captain of my school’s Swimming team and a Senior prefect in 12th grade. Along with this, I was on the board of Directors of The Nature club and a key participant in several business events. As the Vice-Captain of the swimming team, I have not only learned to be passionate about my goals but also developed life skills such as time management, Leadership, and discipline. I have had the opportunity to put these skills to life at several business events- one of them being an online stimulation competition, where I had to create an online biking shop with my teammates. I used my skills of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to manage the team. We had to determine price ranges, select different types of bikes and finally present it to a panel of judges. This taught me teamwork, critical thinking, and effective communication which are all extremely important to thrive in the business world. I have grown into an individual who is not afraid to lead, ready to improvise in difficult situations and most importantly take up challenges and move out of my comfort zone. For the future, I want to continue to work hard and I aspire to be a successful Businesswoman.
