My vision with setting up Oyster, is to create comfortable spaces for like minded individuals to socialise over food and drinks. Leading Education For All and BYJU'S Fellowship Programme. As the Director of Social Initiatives at BYJU'S, I led various large scale projects for different age groups and target audiences.Education For All - Launched and scaled up the flagship programme of the Social Initiatives vertical - a PAN India project wherein students from the underserved communities were mentored and supported through BYJU'S products.BYJU'S Fellowship Programme - Designed and launched the fellowship programme for BYJU'S in partnership with Niti Aayog. Career Plus Programme - Rolled out the project in 67 aspirational districts across India for NEET and JEE aspirants.

UpSkill Management is a startup in the Ed-Tech space implementing vocational training programs for the youth. The idea of UpSkill was conceived and brought to reality by six Kellogg 2012 students whowanted to make a mark in the education sector through impact investment. UpSkill wasinitially formed as ‘UpSkill Capital’, focussing on impact investment to, “find a way tosustainably make vocational education more accessible to the underprivilegedyouth in developing countries.”My role in UpSkill is to identify innovative solutions for improving access to skill training and employment opportunities for the youth. The following are the three main areas of expertise I gained at UpSkill Management:• Product Development: Conceptualised and developed the idea of a mobile app that caters to all the stakeholders of the skill development space and enhances efficiency at each stage of the skill value chain. This product is the organization's foray into opening up more channels of revenue generation and monetizing their expertise in providing skill training. This exposure helped me hone my product development & project management skills.• Business Development: Due diligence and onboarding of companies and programs that are prospective customers for Upskill’s offering. With direct client/customer interaction, I have a fair understanding of customer centricity and developing business solutions that cater to specific customer needs.• Operations: I was responsible for handling 7 training centers and managing field employees. This gave me hands on experience with managing operations at the ground level with great detail and granularity. Process orientation and efficiency have been the skills that I have been able to hone with this exposure.

Working with the Government gave me huge exposure to managing teams, working in a bureaucratic setup, aligning the goals of the top management with the implementation team and most importantly getting results under any circumstances. I was working for the flagship program of MoRD - National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), for which I was posted in a district of Gujarat and had to implement the program from scratch. While working at the grass root level for the implementation and monitoring of the program, I was exposed to several sectors like health, finance, education, skill etc. The various skills I learnt during this time were - project management, training, documentation and reporting and team management.

The project was to study the mobilization and communication channels for vocational training centres in Andhra Pradesh and suggest meaningful interventions to enhance the processes.
