Devendra Gowda is a distinguished academician with over 13 years of experience, making a lasting impact in both academic and industry landscapes. He holds B.Tech and M.Tech degrees and (Ph.D) from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. He further expanded his expertise by obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (PGDIPR) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Currently, he is part of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore, where his dedication to education and innovation has earned him recognition as an Innovation Ambassador under the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), accredited by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and AICTE. Additionally, he holds certification under Bosch Skill India’s "Trainers Training for Nation Building" program.Devendra’s contributions have garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious IEEE STEM Champion award from Global IEEE and the Promising Young Teacher Award from Sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur. His role as an evaluator for Toycathon-2021 and the IEEE PES Humanitarian Technology Project Design and Implementation (HTPDI) 2023 reflects his involvement in innovative technology projects. With 18 NPTEL/Swayam certification courses completed, 09 journal papers, and 8 conference papers published, Devendra’s academic achievements speak to his passion for lifelong learning. He has held key positions within IEEE, including IEEE Student Branch Counselor, SAC Secretary for the IEEE Bombay Section in 2022, and Regional Representative. Beyond academia, Devendra has delivered over 40 talks on topics such as Innovation, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Electric Vehicles, and Cybersecurity across various states in India. His leadership and active involvement with organizations like the Indian Smart Grid Forum, IEI, and ISTE exemplify his commitment to advancing the field of electrical engineering. As of 2024, he serves as an Executive Committee Member of IEEE Bangalore Section, SAC Co-Chair, and Secretary of the Consultant Network Affinity Group.
