I am a dedicated Biomedical Sciences and Public Health undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a passion for healthcare and a career goal of specializing in pediatric medicine. My academic path combines dual majors in Biological Sciences (BS) and Public Health (BA), along with minors in Emergency Health Services and Economics, providing a well-rounded foundation in both the science and management aspects of healthcare.With hands-on experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting, I’ve gained valuable insights into patient care, medical processes, and clinical operations. Working closely with physicians and medical students, I have developed a keen understanding of patient interaction and clinical documentation, as well as the skills needed to effectively support the care team. My role as a mentor at Kumon has further strengthened my ability to connect with young people, a skill I believe is crucial for pediatric practice.Outside of the clinic, I am an advocate for mental health awareness and enjoy volunteering in my community. These experiences have deepened my commitment to providing compassionate care and addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of health. I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge and skills as I pursue a career dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.
