• Strategically engaged multi-national corporations in agriculture, bioenergy, forestry sectors and NGO partners to conceptualise and publish a unique exploration of applying a science-based ‘nature-positive impact’ (NPI) approach to industrial agriculture and forestry landscapes. • Piloted the nature-positive approach in collaboration with Nestle-Nespresso in its coffee supply chains in Brazil, Colombia and Nicaragua, engaging directly with coffee traders and producers.• Demonstrated sustainability risk mitigation and resilience benefits from nature-positive approaches in Shell’s biofuel products, UPM Forestry’s products, and Novozymes bio-enzymes. • Engaged the apparel company Hugo Boss on identifying risks of negative impacts and opportunities for positive impacts for nature across its entire main product value chains, from raw materials, manufacturing, transportation, to retail, consumer care and end-of-life disposal.• Coordinated a sustainability initiative between 14 companies across the aluminium value chain, industry associations, and civil society organisations, delivering the first global multi-stakeholder sustainability standard for aluminium: the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI).

Competitively selected for an accelerated analyst-training programme of three 1-year rotations:• Canadian Forest Service: supported facilitation of the International Model Forest Network - a global practitioner community advancing sustainable forest management based on diverse landscape partnerships; and compiled a knowledge base of Canadian forest policies and case studies to inspire sustainable management of forests globally via the UN Forum on Forests.• Energy & Environment Policy Division: composed a policy knowledge base to inform national policy in GHG emissions reduction mechanisms for the oil sands energy industry in Canada; monitored trends in provincial, national, and international climate change policies; and formulated policy briefs based on complex inter-disciplinary analyses on energy sustainability.• Office of Energy Efficiency: conducted environmental policy analysis for a national sustainable biofuels production support initiative; analysed sustainable development aspects of biofuels including impacts on lifecycle GHG emissions, food security, land-use change, biodiversity; and monitored trends in global biofuel sustainability policies to inform national biofuel policies.
