From the purview of a practicing attorney, this role activates an opportunity to develop Law and Society (LS) Scholars to understand advocacy through experiential education and community engagement, both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, the advancement of their advocacy interests is achieved by strengthening the depth of their knowledge as it relates to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion and legal and societal issues. By implementing a discussion-based approach, students will engage in meaningful dialogue and critical thinking among peers, navigate conflict while remaining respectful of individual viewpoints and experiences, and find clarity about the ways in which they seek to serve others and themselves for their lifetime, in the Buckeye Community and beyond.
