This cross-university project’s research team includes professors from Columbia University, University of Colorado Boulder, and University of Vermont.- This study explores the lived experiences of children, teens and older adults throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in several Canadian and American sites, examining vulnerability, mobilities, and capacities. The results of this study will contribute to better disaster preparedness, responses, and policies and support systems that address the specific challenges and resilience of these potentially vulnerable and highly diverse groups.- Conducting secondary research on intergenerational solidarity frameworks and producing an in-depth annotated bibliography.- Transcribing interviews while doing a first-round of broad qualitative coding that takes note of running themes. These themes inform the living codebook, podcast, and other analyses and research outputs.- Maintain the living codebook and ensure that all qualitative codes, child-codes, code descriptions, and examples of codes are correct and up-to-date.- Conducting coding of semi-structured qualitative interview transcripts and journals using software such as Dedoose.- Attend meetings with the research team and effectively communicate updates and other relevant information.
