My experience in IT stems from many different sources. As an airman in the Air National Guard I was selected by my unit to specialize in Client System Administration (CSA). I am one of only two CSA’s within the 161st Air Refueling Wing’s Maintenance Group (MXG). It is my job to ensure that each system is running properly, that personnel have access to email and server database and all personnel are trained on proper security Information security measures to protect highly classified material and systems. As a CSA I also ensure the overall software/hardware functions of the military systems (more than 400 items on our inventory) are 100% mission capable. This may entail doing a full hardware swap or performing troubleshooting over the phone or in person. The CSA is also responsible for the network infrastructure throughout the MXG. I have also had experience volunteering as an IT specialist with the American Red Cross, setting up mobile command centers and IT needs for pre-disaster readiness. I am the “go-to” man in assisting friends and family members that will call upon me to help them with the complicated task of running multiple information devices throughout their home. These systems typically include desktops, laptops, gaming systems, mobile phones and tablet computers. I have helped with problems as simple as connection to performing accidental deletion data retrieval/reallocation and setting up home security/firewall measures and access parameters. In recent years I have had a great opportunity of learning and working on Mobile device marketing and programming. This includes technology shopping and finding ways to implement mobile technology in theoretical practice for use with the US Air Force and Army. I also specialize in unlocking and root accessing mobile devices in order to create a more secure and efficient product. This includes Android and iOS smart phones and tablet computers. I possess a Comptia Security+ Certificate.
