Talk to students and offer academic advising that includes course scheduling, major selection, personal hardships, and study skills on a drop in basis. Manage the UW advising email account and work with professional staff advisers on a daily basis. Participated in trainings on topics that include diversity, equity, and personal identities.

Was apart of an intensive intern program, which included seminars and workshops to learn about the construction industry and best practices in design. Assisted mechanical engineers with design and drafting, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit. Created and drafted sheets for all stages of design including SD, DD, and CD. Also went on site visits for numerous jobs.

Teach first year engineering students in a class that is taken along side an engineering exploration lecture. Responsible for creating lesson plans, facilitating discussions, and evaluating course work. Serve as a mentor to assist in the transition to studying at a big university and living in Seattle. Collaborate with the College of Engineering and other Peer Educators on curriculum and assignments.

With the supervision of the project engineer, reviewed and commented on contractor's submittals, answered RFI's, and inspected work done on the Waianae Wastewater Treatment Plant in Hawaii. Assisted the construction manager by drafting change order forms and cost breakdown sheets. Also became best management practices (BMP) certified.

Teach a class of first year students focusing on the expectations of the University and the resources available to maximize students' educational experience. Serve as a mentor to assist in their transition to studying at a big university and living in Seattle. Collaborate with the Office of First Year Programs and other First Year Interest Group Leaders on curriculum and assignments. Created lesson plans throughout the quarter and evaluated projects/assignments regularly.

Assisted with design and drafting, utilizing AutoDesk's AutoCAD. Created plan and profile sheets from land surveyor's notes and measurements (also worked as a member of a land surveying crew). Had to calculate elevations, slopes, and pipe inverts to design a new sewer pipe system at Keehi Lagoon Park. Drafted a cost estimate for Kilauea District Park drainage system.
