I am a professionally trained educator with a degree in political science, and I also have experience in nonprofit business leadership.As a teacher, I have developed exceptional communication and leadership skills. The ability to persuade 35 uncooperative teenagers to work together towards achieving excellence is a skill that can be applied in any leadership position. I am also responsible for developing my own curriculum, requiring the accumulation, prioritization and presentation of data in an engaging and informative way. During my time in political science, I became highly proficient at conducting research, analyzing data and presenting logical conclusions in a concise manner. I spent one year as President and CEO of the Alpha Epsilon Building Corporation, managing assets valued over $1,000,000. This was an unpaid position for which I was elected, in which I managed the business and property of a fraternity house. Responsibilities included ensuring maintenance of the property, collaborating with CFO to set rent rates, prioritize spending and formulate an aggressive debt-reduction plan.
