As an instrumentation and electrical technician i am responsible for the spec out, planning, installation, calibration, repair, and preventative maintenance on all process control instrumentation and analytical equipment here on site. I have experience in Mass Spectrometers, Gas chromatography, Hydrocarbon analyzers, Total sulfur and H2S analyzers. Water treatment analytical such as pH, Orp, Chlorine, and water hardness analyzers. Maintain pH probes in extreme service in our NA and AN plants. Complete disassembly and rebuild of all control valves, working closely with manufactures and process engineering to spec out and engineer control valve solutions. Utilizing valve link on our AMS station to predict failures to ensure reliable operations. Work closely with operations to provide solutions on process issues from the field devices all the way through to the DCS. Maintain and Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI's, and DeltaV DCS control system from troubleshooting logic to hardware components. Responsible for programming, troubleshooting, repairing maintaining robotic stacking equipment and bagging equipment. Currently working on getting my Plant Journeyman license through PCC. responsible for planning, installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment including, branch circuits, lighting, motors from 110V up to 4160V, synchronous motors, motor controls, MCC's, generators, power conditioners, transformers, VFD's, UPS's etc. Plan and help schedule work, work closely with all departments to provide root cause analysis and permanent fixes for repeat failures to achieve world class reliability.

I am responsible for working with our clients to provide services in preventative maintenance, calibration, installation, and document control in multiple facilities. Providing start up assistance and commissioning all the instrumentation devices and PLC panels at the Intel construction site in Hillsboro.

In the last year as a field tech I have been doing a wide variety of work, on many different job sites. A Oneok Natural gas plant (Williston, ND), a Cargill Lactic Acid Plant (Blair, NE), Nucor Steel Plant (Norfolk, NE), a Cargill Biodiesel Plant (Kansas City, MO), a Cargill Ethanol Plant (Fort Dodge, IA), was supervisor for a new construction project for Cargill in Fargo ND. Was Responsible for installing instruments: Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, etc.(Various Manufactures), Installing and designing Stainless steel air tubing and insulated heat trace tubing for air supplies and process tubing. Check Out: Ensuring that instrumentation and valves operate properly. Troubleshooting: various instruments during start up and check out. Use of Hart 375/475 communicator for the calibration of smart valves and various smart transmitters. Coordination with Electrical and construction to ensure a on-time completion date. WBS (Work Breakdown Scheduling) i am trained to make schedules for myself as well as other employees. Making sure that projects are completed on time and reviewing progress with project manager on a weekly basis. Leadership trained.I am currently the Lead instrumentation Technician in Perham Minnesota at a waste-to-energy plant.
