I have worked in the hospitality industry since my Freshman year in High School. I have worked in restaurants from fine dining to bistro style, and in Relais & Chateaux Hotels. I began learning about wine under a Cellar Master who had curated a Grand Award winning wine list, which at the time, only 76 in the world had the distinction. I went on to be a Wine Director for a family of restaurants that had been around for 20 years, and before my arrival had earned the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. After two years under my direction, we got that bumped up to the Best of Award of Excellence, one step below the Grand Award. I have experience with not just building wine lists, but with all other types of spirits, beer, and the sales and curation of all of these. I am especially most proud of my customer service, my ability to retain a loyal following of guests, and the capacity and willingness to get my staff to adhere to these same standards. I am not only tied to working in and for restaurants, as I'd be open to venturing into different avenues of the industry.
