3D Printing Technician In Rapid Prototyping Lab
San Francisco State University
Superuser in the 3D printing lab with duties of assisting with additive manufacturing and maintenance on the machines. Working in the lab required me to understand the steps necessary to produce quality prints, including creating parts with SolidWorks, exporting STL files, slicing 3D models for gcode, and ensuring a stable environment for the printers performance. After many hours of watching the printer operate, cleaning nozzles, leveling build plates, and changing equipment, I was able to grasp the idea of how these machines work. Temperature, material, adhesion, and speed were the properties that determined whether or not a product would be produced without error.Experience with 3D printers such as the Ultimaker 2+, Creality Ender 3-Pro, and CR-10.Files: sldprt, stl, gcode
