With SCS I broadened my experience in environmental consulting, developed as a professional and learned of landfill design and maintenance. I took on management of two groundwater remediation systems, from install to operations. My first position after graduating was with Amec Foster Wheeler. The position focused on Environmental Consulting with field and office work. I Earned OSHA 40 hour certification. Job duties included collection of groundwater, soil and air samples, operation and maintenance on soil and groundwater remediation systems, and use of AutoCAD to prepare site maps, sampling plans, and maps of result.

East Dubuque, Il

I worked as a construction inspector for "Green" alleyway projects in Dubuque, IA. Responsibilities for this position involved conducting daily site visits to measure and record progress, ensure construction quality and communicate project status with engineers in the office. Daily reports were written and all progress was updated consistently in the bid tabs for the project. Digital and physical logs were updated and organized daily.

This internship experience involved preliminary roadway and alignment survey work in the Chicago, IL area.

Colona, Il

I worked part time with my Grandfather who taught me the basics of land surveying and engineering. Working with him helped me in choosing my career path in civil/environmental engineering.
