I graduated from the Mayborn School of Journalism and maintained a 3.8 grade point average in all my classes involving real-life journalism practices. After college, I used my writing skills to succeed in a technical support position at ALL In Learning, an education software company. I explained solutions and technical terms via online live chat, in an easy-to-understand manner. During my time at ALL In Learning, I maintained positive ratings from customers and worked with a team to successfully support Dallas and New York ISD. Lastly, my help desk articles saved customers time and guided them through the software. Before technical support, I published several of my writings in different journalistic outlets. Several of my news articles are published through the North Texas Daily, a student-run newspaper at the University of North Texas. I was a news writer and senior news writer at the newspaper. I wrote stories ranging from local government to student issues at the University of North Texas. Some of my other writings include video game reviews, video game commentary, and feature stories. I was a news contributor for The Dentonite during a summer internship. My articles for the Dentonite included profiles of local political candidates and a local photographer. During my time at these entry-level journalism jobs, I gained experience covering breaking news and live tweeting. My other job experience includes working with UNT's HVAC crew to clean and manage the ventilation system in the campus dorms. I also have leadership experience through a campus ministry, the Fellowship of Christian University Students, where I lead a small group once a week. This requires working with another student to plan a small group discussion. I've been a contributing member of this ministry for the entirety of my college career. I also participated in outreach activities hosted by the ministry. I grew up in Georgetown, Texas, and graduated from East View High School. I managed a non-professional blog about video games throughout high school, which served as my first experience with journalistic writing.
