During this time I worked on the front counter of our service center in Kent, WA. This is a well known establishment by everyone in the Pacific Northwest because of their great service and knowledge of the recreational towing and camping industry. My job was to learn what the customers wanted to achieve with their vehicle regarding towing or camping and recommend them the best available systems for their needs. I would write up quotes of my recommendations and research products that would best suite them. When they reviewed and agreed to order parts from specific quotes I would order and arrange for everything to be installed. Another part of my job was attending local recreational towing and camping shows such as the Seattle RV show. I would attend with a handful of team members and deliver informative seminars in front of audiences who were new to the recreational towing and camping industry.

In this role I was tasked with creating new product for vehicles under existing product lines as well as creating entirely new product lines under the Torklift brand using CAD software and CNC equipment in our Research and Development facility in Kent, WA.With no prior experience I was brought into engineering because of my knowledge of the industry after working various jobs in Torklift since 2015 and my knack for success within the company. I was taught how to use SolidWorks CAD software to cut and shape various types of sheet metal, tubing, and other materials as well as importing all the hardware needed to create new products. After design I would follow the products I created through to the point of releasing them to our manufacturing plant. During this process to release I created product drawings for manufacturing to build the product, instructions so that customers could install the new product easily, and all the documentation needed for release.
