As a content writer, I was required to write articles on relevant topics of my choice each week. As a copy editor, my job was to review and revise the incoming articles that were submitted through each college community associated with Odyssey. Odyssey copy editors were required to have proficient knowledge in APA style format as well as advanced knowledge in grammar and syntax. Unfortunately, Odyssey decided to eliminate the copy editor role completely in August of 2016.

York, Pennsylvania

The York Review is a student-run literary journal that has collected art, literature, and photography from the students of York College’s for over thirty years. Recently, The York Review has expanded and now features audio, digital, video, and live streaming productions. "We do lots of things. We publish a magazine. We produce a podcast. We host live events. We publish online content. We host writing workshops. We collaborate with other college and community organizations such as CAB, Sigma Tau Delta, and First Fridays."As part of the Social Media Management team, I was in charge of managing all of our social media platforms by using Hootsuite. We also sent out multiple posts advertising the different events The York Review was hosting, as well as creating posts to remind our viewers about the submission deadline. As a contributing editor, I read and revised articles and was on the reviewing panel for the different submissions that were sent in to us. After we narrowed down the submissions that were a perfect fit for The York Review, the creative pieces selected went through 4-5 rounds of editing before being sent to printing.
