As a full-time student in school, I’ve learned to make the most out of my situation to better myself as much as possible for my future. In high school, I joined the band and became a section leader. This helped my future because I learned how to be a leader and balance a busy schedule. I spent countless hours on the band field helping others so we as a team could reach a common goal. In college, I’ve learned to try my best at all times and pick classes that are right for me to set me up for a successful career no matter how hard it gets. I want to obtain a career in the tech industry because I want to be able to represent women in a male-dominated field. In my college level computer classes I was one of very few women. Most men looked down upon me, so I’d like to prove that women can have an important impact on technology today. In that class I made straight A’s and often lead and helped others during team projects. Technology will always be evolving, and I want to be able to provide companies with the best services possible to keep them ahead of the game. Specifically, I aspire to be a data analyst because I enjoy solving problems using facts and research. So far, I’ve accomplished this through some of my classes throughout high school and college. I want to further my experience through internships while I’m finishing my degree in computer science.
