While working in the Construction practice for four weeks and in the Healthcare practice for an additional four weeks, my main emphases were conducting analysis and helping create client deliverables. For the most part, this entailed sorting through data sets in Excel and looking through other documents in order to highlight relevant points of focus for the cases I worked on. I also used SQL to perform data validation checks, ensuring client data was transferred and imported accurately.

As part of a thirteen week internship, I review health plans offered to federal employees through the Federal Employee Health Benefit Program, ensuring that the rates set by the plans align with the federal guidelines. After reviewing these rates, I communicate with the plans to reconcile the rates set for the current year and to help propose rates for the upcoming year. In total, the health plans I have been working with cover tens of thousands of federal employees.

Suffield, Ct

As part of a five-week program for a group of roughly 120 students, the majority of which were international, I was a Teaching Assistant for a leadership class and writing class Monday-Friday. In addition, I also spent one period each day doing administrative work with the coordinators of the program. Every third night, I slept over in a dormitory and was responsible for making sure students were where they were supposed to be and handling any problems that arose. On the weekends, I was a chaperone on three separate trips to Boston, New York, and Rhode Island, each time in charge of four or five students in the program.
