Broad geotechnical project history, but found my focus in dam projects. Most of my projects are in the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West regions. My responsibilities include project management, designing and installing instrumentation monitoring systems; completing exploration programs; completing dam inspections; participating in risk assessments.

I worked on several projects under Dr. Shideh Dashti. In 2012, I traveled to Davis, CA to assist in preparation of a centrifuge model as part of a colleague's Ph.D research. Back in Boulder, I developed a triaxial testing method for finite strain measurements of a dry sand under compression. I also worked on several centrifuge experiments at CU, including.

Worked with Professor Ron Pak to teach about 40 undergraduate students Geotechnical Engineering staples and to bring talented students into our department. I directed lab sections, held office hours, graded homework assignments and lab reports.

Graded homework assignments for 40 graduate and undergraduate students on a bi-weekly basis. I left many comments but took few points. Working with Dr McCartney provided a great refresher in foundation engineering concepts and methods.

Organized hundreds of soil samples; prepared samples for testing, developing a new, more efficient method; and performed labor-intensive testing. Sweating it out while doing proctors and sieves by hand.
