I flew on and maintained a fleet of 12 MV-22 Ospreys. Maintenance on this aircraft include demonstrating an enhanced level of quality assurance through the exercise of problem solving, inspection, maintenance control, safety applications and inventory management; perform final approval inspections on system repair; functions as a technical advisor to work staff; Inspect and maintain tilt-rotor airframes and airframe components and perform duties relating to flight line operations. Communicate with a variety of commercial manufacturing companies, suppliers, and technical engineers in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing to ensure proper maintenance practices. Perform all essential tasks related to flight operations. Maintain up-to-date and accurate preventive maintenance and repair records in aircraft fleet maintenance database and monitor aircraft maintenance status. Supervise mentoring, counseling, and training; communicate through flight briefing, presentations, and report writing; perform turbine engine operations, preventative maintenance, and system maintenance; perform mechanical system troubleshooting and maintenance on system pumps, valves, and drive systems; trouble shoot drive, alignment, and operational discrepancies; conduct system tests; deploy and enforce industrial safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), identification and proper use and disposal of hazardous materials and material safety data sheets (MSDS), mechanical system safety, fuel system safety, environmental system safety, EPA and OSHA regulations, and first aid; maintain aircraft environmental control systems including troubleshooting and repair of bleed air, pressurization, anti-ice, onboard oxygen generation; and air conditioning systems; performed daily fuel system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on fuel pressurization and venting, supply, and storage systems.
