We explored the possibility of using speech diarization in a cross-platform mobile app through the SHoUT library. We also built a library using kiss_fft to separate out blocks of speech. We faced problems in that no programs we knew of do this without pulling in many dependencies and though they may be slightly more accurate tend to be sacrifice speed and have expensive licensing requirements. I was the sole developer building the library, using it was left to other people in the team.

We developed and prepared to deploy a mobile application across multiple platforms. We did this while having an international team with rapid and efficient communication between us. Since we were a distributed team we had to have an excellent design plan and disbursement of responsibilities which we would assess for feasibility in the time allotted. Once the basics were implemented we needed to optimize network traffic and on-device code, of which I was the sole developer, to get the application experience as smooth as possible.
