I am a third year student, future cybersecurity professional. My passion for cybersecurity brought me to Montreat College where I am working on a BS in Cybersecurity. With my time spent at community college and my first semester here, I've been able to learn programming, networking, UNIX, etc, all in depth. The most valuable lesson I learned from Montreat is that there are numerous ways to help protect people within the cybersecurity field. I am a disciplined hard worker who is capable of collaborating with a team but can also work independently. I am also a student athlete who has some accolades that I'm very proud of. My first two collegiate years of playing baseball, I was proudly announced to an All-Academic Team in both years along with being named to the All-GSAC Team. These achievements reward student athletes for maintaing a 3.5 GPA or above while in season.On a personal level, The reason I am so passionate about cybersecurity is due to my family. My entire family is law enforcement with some even serving in the military. Their influence on me to help people is something I am so grateful for and strive to make a positive impact on the world.
