I spent my early years working a variety of manufacturing jobs in order to put myself through school. This gave me a lot of insight into the inner workings of manufacturing facilities, and the common issues that occur. I believe the most important assets in any facility is the team of people who work there. All problems can be boiled down to a dysfunction within the team, whether it be communication problems or lack of support. A managers job is to keep the plant running as efficiently as possible, and the best way to achieve this, is to build up the team doing the work. I have taken this philosophy with me to Guelph Twines, to help build and grow a leading manufacturing facility, that can successfully compete in the cable filler and tying twine industries. I believe in open communication with everyone at Guelph Twines, and the importance of helping employees build their careers and knowledge to a level they can be proud of.
