I have pursued many independent creative projects over the past ten years. In 2003-2004 I created devotional and abstract narratives using mono-type printing techniques and wood burning into plywood panel. The project was realized in the form of hand made books with sewn bindings.2007 I began to develop visualizations for a series of science fiction short stories. Generally, the visual and written narratives that have been developed have referenced popular culture trends relating to grand conspiratorial philosophies that continue to draw from nuclear fiction and emergent surveillance technologies. 2008-2009 I created a series of acrylic abstract paintings on plywood. The development of the paintings involved unique surface treatments which provided highly saturated rich surface detail. Generally, I see the paintings belonging to a Northwestern style and to be more concerned with surface than the idea of a projective image.
