About Devon Little

"For me, the question of democracy also opens up the question of what does it mean to be truly human. And it seems to me that we need to recognize that to develop the best humanity, the best spirit, the best community, there needs to be discipline, practices of exploring. How do you do that? How do we work together? How do we talk together in ways that will open up our best capacities and our best gifts?"— VINCENT HARDINGI believe in cultivating communities in which people know and care about one another. My work, whether with individuals, schools, organizations, or other groups, is about helping to build the culture in which we each take accountability for ourselves and seek to have a beneficial impact on others. Such work requires ongoing self-reflection, creativity, celebration, and strategic action on the part of the individual, the group, and institutional leaders. Towards these goals, I support both individuals and groups to grow in their efforts towards community, human dignity, social justice, and integrity. Whether it's training educators in trauma-informed practices; mediating a conflict; helping individuals access and articulate their values, hopes and knowledge, communicate across difference, or undo implicit bias; or assisting an organization to build community and shared commitments - the work takes many shapes. I am primarily informed by wisdom that has been in communities for thousands of years, but has been taught to me as part of the following frameworks: arts-based empowerment, restorative justice, anti-oppression, collective liberation, somatic awareness, organizational leadership, communication skills, and community-building. To my work, I bring over fifteen years of direct experience with individuals from many walks of life and multicultural groups, as well as experience in program and organizational development. I hold a Masters in Social Work, and a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Justice.

Listed skills include Community Outreach, Program Management, Program Development, Nonprofits, and 13 others.
