The Multicultural/Urban Coordinator for North Spokane Young Life will provide vision, leadership and support for our ministries at Rogers High School and Garry and Shaw Middle Schools. Serving and caring for students in these communities requires deeper training and understanding of issues related to poverty, race and ethnicity, and social economic influences. The Coordinator will come alongside team leaders, school administrators, churches, other youth organizations, and local businesses to create a supportive and loving network for our students.

I joined PetSmart as a cashier and transferred to the early morning stocking shift when the need arose. As a Pet Products Associate, I oversaw our products through every stage of their time at our store. I unloaded freight with the forklift, stocked the product, answered questions about the product, and acted as a cashier. My product management duties included verifying inventory accuracy, ensuring that all products are within their expiration dates, cleaning and organizing the receiving area, resetting displays and making sure that every item looked its best and was in its proper place. Customer service was also an important part of my position and required preparing online orders, answering customer questions, and training new associates. I was awarded the accommodation of "Pricing Captain" in January of 2016. As Pricing Captain, I ensured that every product in our store was properly priced, accounted for, and labeled accordingly. In January of 2017, I was also awarded the accommodation of "Safety Captain." My duties included a monthly walk-through of the store to assess our compliance with safety codes and filing a report of my findings.
