As President, I have made it my goal to make YDNC known in new spaces that share the same values. From the western mountains to the eastern beaches, I have traveled this state, carrying the message of progressiveness and the mission of our founder, Tyre Taylor. Our mission is to promote young people and the spirit of the Democratic Party. I continue to serve on numerous committees, with the NC Democratic Party, to advocate for justice and equality. My goal is to increase political activism and civic engagement among millennials. As President, new chapters were started in unprecedented counties that had been previously affiliated, YDNC was represented on stage at the first NC Blue Gala to celebrate Democrats in February 2020. Goals moving forward involves a statewide canvassing effort to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, initiating a digital campaign to promote YDNC and strengthen our chapters by growing our numerous caucuses that aim to promote progressivism.
