Good day! My name is Devyn(he/him). I am 18 years old and freshly graduated from college. When entering the career field, I am worried that my age will hold me back. As much as I understand the reasonings behind this, I am hoping to find an entry level position that offers training, challenges, growth opportunities, and an overall positive environment. It is imperative that the team I work with is collaborative and open to new ideas. Being a part of the younger generation has molded me into a resilient worker. During my first year of work, I faced many challenges caused in part by the pandemic. Besides Covid, I attended school full time to complete my AAS along with and EHS specialist certificate and and OSH Tech certificate. Some things I enjoy include makeup, TikTok, my pets, and spending time at the lake. A large part of my identity is my gender marker. Crazy how a tiny written letter can mean so much, isn’t it? I am transgender and this has molded and shaped me in more ways that I know. I have learned to be kind, compassionate, and to have thick skin. Some may not see this as a strength or weakness, but I am very proud of all the time and mental work I have put into becoming my true self. Thank you for getting to know me!
