Supporting young adults to flourish throughout their 6 month Kickstart employment placements with with Coaching & Mentoring.

Responsible for providing pastoral support to year 7 & 8 students, identifying their wellbeing needs and liaising with stakeholders and professionals to deliver comprehensive and holistic support in school.

Responsible for the pastoral care of 65 young people whilst on residential developmentprogrammes leading on behavior management. In my role I ensured that all young people including those with additional learning, emotional or behavioral needs were engaged with effectively so that they could utilise life affirming and up-skilling tasks for personal development e.g. Abseiling, social action projects with community partners and developing public speaking skills.

- I was responsible for developing, organizing and facilitate workshops for teen groups on service evenings based around facilitating individual development and key life skills.- I mentored young people aged 13-19 with low self-esteem, challenging behavior and from vulnerable backgrounds who were affected or living with HIV.- I was lead on the peer-to-peer mentoring programme that focused on emotional support and developing core skills and coping mechanisms. I would manage a team of member volunteers weekly and was the main point of contact, facilitating team briefings, training new mentors and coordinating the mentor service overall.- I was also the point of contact in maintaining clinic outreach via emails, phone support and clinic visits with a view to coordinating teen referrals. - I was a Board of Director for the Youth Group (2009-2011) & attended key fundraising as well as stakeholder & trustees meetings e.g. the national lottery board meeting, Annual youth empathy conference & a team leadership conference in Cambridge.- With Bold-creative LTD, VInspired & on a Journalism course at ITV/Ch4 I helped to develop outreach and engagement programmes for future campaigns and projects with young people.

1) ‘The Body & Soul way’- I worked with a small team to develop the strategy going forward for the foundation both short & long term.- Projects undertaken had the objectives of finding a way to articulate the model and the services provided by a leading HIV/AIDS charity with a view to expanding the service internationally.- I ensured that the team remained along guidelines set within the project plan timeline e.g. workshops, conducting interviews and research deadlines.2) South Africa – Project Kopano- I contributed to preparatory work for the expansion of an innovative health project in South Africa called project Kopano - (http://www.shmfoundation.org/kopano.php)- I and the foundation Director, designed and developed the interview process for use with key stakeholders.- I conducted analysis sessions with the foundation team tailored to developing a final report. - I facilitated within social enterprise workshops called the Learning Review Site (LRS).
