The Bangladesh Red Cross Society was constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President's Order No.26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from the 16th December 1971. The Society was recognized by ICRC on 20 September 1973 and admitted to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on 02 November 1973. The name and emblem were changed from Red Cross to Red Crescent on 4th April 1988 vide Act 25 of 1988.The President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is the ex-officio President of the Society. The President appoints the Chairman of the Society for a term of 3 years, who may hold two consecutive terms.BDRCS National Headquarters at Red Crescent Sarak, Boro Moghbazar, Dhaka is the Secretariat of the Society. The Secretary-General, appointed by the Managing Board, heads the Secretariat. He is ex-officio the Secretary to the Managing Board. The Managing Board also appoints a Deputy Secretary-General, who performs the functions of the Secretary-General in his/her absence. The Secretariat is organized in five divisions, namely, Disaster Management, Health Services, Planning & Development, Central Support Services, and Finance & Accounts.

The Chinese Economists Society (CES) is a non-profit academic organization registered in the United States. The aim of the Society is to promote scholarly exchanges among its members and contribute to the advancement and dissemination of economics and management sciences in China. The CES currently has hundreds of active individual members and dozens of institutional members. Over years more than two thousand individuals have joined the CES from universities, government agencies, international organizations, industrial firms, and financial services throughout North America, Asia, Europe and other regions of the world. Many members of the CES have returned to China and are playing leading roles in various sectors. Most current individual members of the CES are Chinese students and scholars of economics and related fields in North America. Many are migrants from mainland China. Due to the unique background of its members, the Society is probably the most influential group that bridges academic exchanges in economics and related areas between North America and China. The combination of those members’ deep roots in China and knowledge of modern economics gives the CES the competitive edge in the profession. It also helps the CES develop channels to influence the Chinese economic policies and advocate market-based reforms in China.

DCCI, the largest and most active Chamber of the country, established in 1958, was incorporated under the Companies Act, V11 of 1913 as a limited company on March 10, 1959. It serves as a model of a non-profit, service-oriented organization. It has rendered more than four decades of very useful services for the development of business and industry in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Computer Samity is the voice of the ICT industry of Bangladesh. It is the national association of the ICT companies in Bangladesh. BCS was established in 1987 with eleven members. The ICT industries of Bangladesh comprises distributors, dealers, resellers of computer and allied products, locally assembled computer vendors, software developers, and exporters, internet service providers, ICT based educational institutions and training houses, ICT embedded services providers, etc. The total number of members stands 1262 at present. The body is run by a 7-number executive committee elected every two years.
