David's contributions to the project were invaluable, and the effort, though centered on a non-traditional topic, demonstrated Brookings' ability to adapt policy analysis to a content-drive, creative medium like the documentary film. David is an invaluable colleague and an individual willing to try something new, even in an organization that is hesitant to change. He has both an eye for content and a respect for the talent around him that ensures that his team members are working to their potential. His conceptualization of the role of a communications professional is dynamic, not stuck in the decades-long rut that grips many DC institutions that communications equals public relations.
