Emerson acquired the Motorola Embedded Communications Computing Group in 2008.As part of the test engineering team I designed, implemented and supported functional board and system level tests for Compact PCI, uTCA, PMC, and ATCA products. I produced continuous quality and efficiency improvements in functional test used in a factory environment.• I played a key role in the successful transition of a large factory from Nogales, Mexico to Zhongshan, China. I partnered with the production planning team to schedule production pilots in China. I was also involved in the logistical tracking of test equipment and made several trips to Zhongshan to train factory personnel and support revenue builds.• I partnered directly with customers to create automated factory processes to deliver completely integrated telecommunication systems with software and hardware, ready to be installed at a customer site. This eliminated the need for systems to be shipped to an intermediate software integration site.• I represented the test engineering group during audit processes with key customers improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

As part of the test engineering team I designed, implemented and supported functional board and system level tests for Compact PCI, uTCA, PMC, and ATCA products. This reduced the development time of test development for repair group and improved the repair test process.

I designed, built, and tested bed of nail test fixtures for testing printed circuit board assemblies.• I diagnosed critical design issues in new products improving the initial product quality and allowing on time release. During this process I collaborated with the engineering team to developed solutions to the issues and verify that the issue was resolved correctly. • I improved the design of existing fixtures allowing more efficient testing to be performed.• I created test procedures for use with new and existing fixtures that shortened testing time by up to 20%.

I designed, built, and tested functional test fixtures for testing printed circuit board assemblies used in ultrasound imaging equipment. I created test specifications and designed test hardware to meet the guidelines.• I reorganized, rewrote and implemented test procedures for current and new circuit boards, improving quality control without added cost.• I researched and corrected technical problems with failed units returned from the field, enabling product resale and factory quality improvements to be made.

I designed, built and test critical components of the ASUSat 1 small Satellite.• I assisted in design and testing of analog measurement section of CPU board for ASUSat1.• I assisted in testing of global positioning system for ASUSat1.* Designed and tested cable harness for ASUSat1.

Executed and provided feedback on software quality test procedures used to verify the operation of critical software used to program implantable heart defibrillators.• I assisted a team of software quality assurance engineers in the writing, refinement, and execution of over 45 test procedures for a complex implanted cardiac defibrillator system.• I prepared weekly management reports tracking problem resolution.
