Accomplished Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional with over 25 years of broad-based experience in the environmental, occupational health and safety, construction safety and regulatory compliance arenas. Served as expert to clients on chemical, biological and physical hazards in assessing and then designing engineering controls or evaluating proper personal protective equipment for various occupations. Environments have included office, industrial, warehouse, construction, emergency response, disaster response, maintenance, government and heavy petrochemical environments. Built my career in consulting as a problem solver for the most complex issues that clients could not solve on their own. Entrepreneur who founded my own consulting practice which I still operate today for a few select legal clients as an expert witness. Stood up an office in New Orleans 7 days post Katrina and operated from two Recreational Vehicles for 6 months until we found lodging for a larger staff. We were one of the only consultants to be able to host insurance adjusters and other clients that soon after the hurricane. Seventeen years as consultant to the insurance industry, building owners and attorneys on many occasions regarding asbestos, microbial growth and moisture issues in buildings. Specialized experience in management of large-scale response to catastrophic events for insurance carriers and facility owners to control costs and to allow for quick recovery of operations. Expert in various types of sampling and field analytical equipment, specialized in custom sampling strategies and projects requiring non-standard or combined methodologies.
