Thermal Validation Engineer managing lab resources, schedules, and personnel in Hot Chassis Dyno, Vehicle Environmental Chamber, and at outside test facilities. Conduct surface temperature testing on various heavy truck applications simulating David Dam hill climbs in Hot Chassis Dyno.• Managed high level and day-to-day workflow through multiple labs, with the objective to minimize downtime and generate quality data. In 2020, chamber schedule had less than 10 days of unplanned downtime• Lead cross-functional discussions with design, program, validation, and Union represented to plan large full vehicle test activities. This included performing and tracking changes to test article, coordinating instrumentation and test execution to reduce waste, and responding effectively to any unknowns which may hamper test progress• Maintained a mentorship role with new engineers, preparing them for the rigor of vehicle validation, and showing them the necessary tools to achieve success• Took the initiative to coordinate and track the transfer of high value test equipment and inventory from the various Thermal Validation Labs at Navistar's Melrose Park facility to their new location in San Antonio, Texas.

I work in the Product Integration & Validation organization in the Build Operations group. My main responsibilities are in overseeing the physical build of prototype units for test and retrofits. I work with Program Management and Design Engineering to collect up-to-date data on parts, build instructions and other technical information needed for a successful build. I use this information to establish a build schedule and work with mechanics to install prototype configurations on vehicles in our test fleet. This is often the first time that a new design is physically validated. I report out to the team any concerns regarding fit or function and work with both design engineers and mechanics to contain any concerns that impede build progress.
