I've had 19 fantastic years at Lawson West Solicitors - the last 7 as Managing Director - but all good things must come to an end. As part of our planned succession strategy I have handed the MD reins to my friend and fellow director Vicky Jones who will do a great job taking Lawson West to the next level.I am now starting my new life as an independent consultant, using my 40+ years experience solving problems for companies and business owners. I am a can-do person, partly because I worked in-house with national house builders and in the public sector but also because I work in a service industry. I feel very strongly about this. Whether you work as a solicitor in private practice or behind a bar the job is looking after people and keeping customers happy.So I love getting to know people and helping them to achieve their dreams and aspirations and in particular I work with business owners who have ambitions to do more and the will to make changes – which are sometimes quite small - to achieve the results they want. What I want to do is add value and go the extra mile that makes a real difference. It’s what I hope I’ve always done.I’ll post more later about how I help – and what I don’t do - and the people likely to get the most benefit but in the meantime if you're reading this and have any question or concern about your own business or that of a customer or client then just get in touch. Don’t worry that it might not be my “bag”; I'll help if I can and if I can't I probably know someone who can.
