I love driving positive change through diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)! I hate talking about myself. So, here's a quick rundown about me: 1) I am an athletic trainer by trade. I grew up loving sports and medicine and knew that I’d be happiest in a career that allows me to care for people and allows them to continue doing the things they love. 2) As a Black and Indigenous woman, my passion for DEI is homegrown. However, during my professional training, I found renewed enthusiasm in working to make healthcare more accessible for patients of all backgrounds and transforming healthcare entities so that clinicians and employees can thrive!3) I am very passionate about what I do and am fortunate that by working in healthcare and DEI I can make genuine connections with the communities I serve. It’s important to me that DEI initiatives are community-driven, purposeful, and sustainable.4) I am a hobby queen and enjoy reading (mostly fiction), sewing (nearly anything), and going to the movies (what’s your favorite recent blockbuster?).
