This is a continuation of the job I performed with SBS as an HPC Onsite Integrator. Unix/Linux System Administration on servers built for many different IT functions, from simple file shares to complex clusters for HPC and Hadoop, in many different environments for business, government, and education. Currently, I configure and integrate High-Performance Compute & Hadoop Clusters in the US & Canada for business, education, and government institutions. I have worked the full spectrum of the tasks from the physical installation of the hardware, cabling, firmware upgrades, networking, installation, and configuration of the OS and all cluster software, to final test and validation. Some of the larger clusters have appeared on the Top500 list: Keeneland phases I & II at Oak Ridge National Labs (for GA Tech), Lattice at the University of Calgary, and Orcinus at the University of British Columbia are the most memorable.

In my current position with SBS, I work with HP to install High Performance Clusters in the US & Canada for business, education, and government institutions. As an installer I have worked the full spectrum of the tasks from the physical installation of the hardware, cabling, firmware upgrades, networking, installation and configuration of the OS and all cluster software, to final test and validation. Some of the larger clusters have appeared on the Top500 list: Keeneland phases I & II at Oak Ridge National Labs (for GA Tech), Lattice at the University of Calgary, and Orcinus at the University of British Columbia are the most memorable. The largest was 1000+ nodes at the University of Minnesota.In my previous position with SBS, I installed and configured Storage Area Networks and High Performance Clusters for Dell. The most prominent was one HPC project for Stanford, and two projects where I managed teams of installers/integrators at Pixar Studios and Caltech.

In charge of all Unix/Linux based systems as well as all SAN equipment: HP-UX, RedHat & SuSE Linux, EMC Clariion and Symmetrix storage. Designed backup systems for all *nix based systems. I participated in two data center relocations during my time there. System performance and tuning. Scripting.

I started out at St. Anthony's Hospital as a second shift support technician. My responsibilities were to support the desktop, printer, and fax systems in all areas of the hospital. I worked my way into a Jr Novell Administrator position before St. Anthony's and St. Joseph's merged hospital management. After the merger, I was transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital, and became a Sr. Systems Analyst in the client/server environment as well as the primary AIX Administrator.While there I led the upgrade of all desktop systems and printing systems deployed at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in the offices and nursing stations.
