In June of 2021, I started a company to make laser engraved slate and wood coasters. I use GIS software to design maps that are well suited to the engraving process and use two laser engravers to make the coasters.

After DoorDash acquired Caviar in November of 2019, I led the team responsible for all outbound communication to the couriers working on the Caviar platform. This work included supporting daily operations as well as managing the communication about the transition process to the DoorDash platform for thousands of couriers nationwide.I also worked with the Dasher team on the rollout of the DasherDirect payment card. This included in-depth cross functional partnerships with Product and Legal to ensure that the onboarding and rollout of the platform was successful and that the product itself was compelling and easy to use.

As the National Courier Lead for Caviar, I drove improvements in courier fleet growth, cost efficiency, and was responsible for tax and legal compliance for a national fleet of tens of thousands of couriers. Specifically I,• Led a team of two that designed and built a remote courier onboarding program that cut in-market onboard time to zero and unlocked fully remote courier operations.• Led the rollout of a new courier pay model that fundamentally changed Caviar's unit economics with no measure-able decrease in courier retention or productivity• Individually managed and improved a tax reporting compliance process that reduced Caviar's tax withholding liablity by >$1M from when I took over the program• Partnered with Legal to help the business adapt to and manage a constantly changing independent contractor landscape, including providing the first occupational accident insurance product for a gig economy platform

I led the launch team for Caviar's expansion into the Minneapolis market. I spent four months in Minneapolis and St Paul to determine the top restaurants to focus on, learn the specifics of the food delivery market, lease office space, onboard couriers, and hire a local operations and sales team to continue growing the market

As the Operations Manager for the launch of the Philadelphia market, I was responsible for standing up the delivery infrastructure for the region. This included:• Onboarding 40+ restaurants and 100+ couriers to the Caviar delivery platform• Developing the initial demand models for couriers for the regionAfter launch, I was responsible for day-to-day dispatching and support for all three sides of the marketplace for all operations hours. This work included:• Continued on-site onboarding for the rapidly growing roster of restaurant and courier partners,• Design and communication for a reactive and fiscally responsible incentive structure to ensure courier supply matched order demand.Caviar was acquired by Square in October 2014 and I was responsible for working with our new Engineering and Legal teams to centralize our operations teams and automate our dispatching software. I taught myself SQL in order to better communicate the unique requirements of the Philadelphia market.
