Currently leading 30+ people Technology organization for Amazon Global Trade business, having end-to-end ownership of import/export technology. The team involves 3 independent software development and machine learning orgs. Leading 5 new initiatives for Global trade, which are enabling Jeff B’s vision of $10bn exports from India by 2025, across the Payments, Compliance, Seller Experience, andCustomer Experience, building applications for both desktop and mobile users. Machine learning team is driving end to end model development across key business verticals such as Selection Recommendations, Selection Economics, Fulfilment and Returns improvements, Cross border trade etc.

I am a Software Development Manager in the Amazon EasyShip team, under the Seller Central India organization. EasyShip is a set of services for the sellers, allowing them to use Amazon logistics for the delivery and returns of orders. I manage a team of 7, and we are primarily responsible for building BI tools and dashboards for the EasyShip sellers.

I was responsible for building services to manage the Returns for Sellers, particularly, Returns tracking, Exchanges and Replacements. Network Based Application RecognitionThe NBAR system is widely used across a wide range of Cisco routers for Deep Packet Inspection. This is primarily used for intelligent identification and classification of applications in network traffic. Once classified, various QOS policies can be defined for the critical and non-critical applications, so that the network is utilized in the most optimal way.I have been working on a major component of the NBAR system: Protocol Packs, which bundle a set of signatures into a file, which can be loaded on the router for configuration/administration purposes. I have also mentored a team of college interns, and co-developed the NBAR SDK, which provides a web based interface for several NBAR components.

I was working on BMC Remedy Action Request System (ARS) for Telstra, Australia. This tool is used by Telstra to provide a Service Desk Application for its customers and support staff. I worked on projects involving software development, integrations, hardware/software configurations and infrastructure management. I was also entrusted with the responsibility of training the new recruits, and had trained over 50 team members.
