I have a particular interest in how low-energy design strategies can be adapted to public sector building standards, as well as how the implementation of digital construction can improve quality. My dual role at Architype allows me to get involved in information management from definition of client standards to production and delivery from the design team perspective.I joined Architype in 2020 and I'm currently working on exemplar Passivhaus education projects in Scotland, including Maybury Primary School and the innovative low carbon Community Renewable Energy Project (CoRE) in East Ayrshire. Previously, I have worked for Scott Brownrigg on a range of projects across different sectors, where I have also studied for my Part 3 examination. I can contribute to a company’s values with my enthusiasm and passion for Architecture, trustworthy personality, professionalism and representational skills. I have been working for Pattern-Architects, Edinburgh since October 2016 on large scale buildings in a fully BIM environment. The experience has allowed me to learn Revit at a professional level while developing my communication and management skills in a dynamic and challenging work environment with a large international team. I’ve been involved in projects from Concept to Information for Construction and worked on drawings scaled from 1:600 to 1:5 details. I also have a keen interest in residential and commercial architecture, which I have explored through freelance projects. My master’s programme at the University of Edinburgh has allowed me to expand my architectural interest from the building to the wider area of the urban context through large scale site-based project propositions. During my year out with AD Architektur-Design in Zurich, I had the opportunity to actively participate in developing projects in the design, construction, interior design and renovation phases, encouraging me to develop my flexibility and adaptation skills to solving a wide range of tasks. I have also completed a number of redevelopment and small-scale interior design projects independently, enhancing my confidence and my ability to work alone as well as deliver specific solutions in a short time-span.As a versatile and open person, I adapt readily to new situations, and my experience with CAD software allows me to learn any new program rapidly. I have successfully completed projects in Revit, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD and SketchUp, with the renders perfected in either 3ds Max or Cinema 4D and finally, Photoshop.
