Metadata Intern
CurrentI organized, created and entered structural and descriptive metadata covering some of the nation's oldest laws/collections into the database. As a priority project for the Library I completed the metadata for 6 collections of the Statutes at Large (over 26,000 rows of data), a contribution that will assist congress, lawyers, law students, researchers, and patrons all over the globe to have open access to the Library’s resources. I jumped in to contribute metadata for three volumes of the American State Papers preparing for digitization to help that project meet its deadline. In the capacity of a Creative Digital Publications intern I researched and wrote material for the Law Library's blog, In Custodia Legis, and edited peer blogs to prepare them for publication on the Library’s website.
