I have worked with the preparation and management of contracts and grants at the Lawrence Hall of Science and later transitioned to their Computer Services department where I co-wrote the training manual for their word processing and mailing list systems and conducted trainings with campus members. My work in higher education at Saint Mary's College serving four academic departments has utilized my organizational, budgeting, planning and analytical skills. During my time at Saint Mary's College I found that a common thread for me is my interest in education and supporting students in their efforts to complete their education. I entered their Counseling Graduate program and recently completed my Master's degree. My work focused on developing a faculty and staff workshop that informed them of the challenges and barriers students encounter who transfer to a four-year institution of higher education and developing tools to help them work with college transfer students to successfully complete their education.
