Managed multiple teams of application developers, business analysts, offshore partners, and consultants. Applications in my portfolio were related to Rating, Underwriting, and Sales Tools supporting Hartford Life's Group Benefits business.

Responsible for managing the day to day Production Support activities and Project development efforts for Customer Contact Suite of Applications (Customer Service Workstation and ING Access Web Applications). The suite of Applications supported 1300 internal Customer Service Representatives and over 1 million external Participants active in ING’s Pension plans (401K, 457, 403b). The Applications were developed in Visual Basic, C++, Sybase, Power Builder, Oracle, and Java and interfaced with ING’s Vantage and OmiPlus policy administration systems. Managed a team of approximately 16 IT developers and Business Analysts. Successful implemented an offshore partnership with NIIT consultants in an effort to augment staffing needs. Managed several project initiatives to support new product features, SEC regulatory changes, and customer enhancements.

IT App Manager, Annuity/Pension Agent Commission System June 1991 - July 1995Promoted to Supervisor for a team of 8 people responsible for the day to day production support activity and Project development efforts for the Annuity and Pension Agent Commission System. The application was written in mainframe Cobol/VSAM. Projects included enhancing the Compensation system to support policy migration from Annuity and Small Case Pension legacy system to a Vantage policy administration system. IT Systems Analyst May 1990 – May 1991 Transferred to Aetna’s Annuity & Pension area to participate as a systems analyst on a large-scale project to replace Annuity and Small Case Pension systems with a new state of the art system.
