I managed inpatient pharmacy operations, clinical, and support activities. I supervised 28 clinical pharmacists and 27 technicians. I communicated goals, objectives, accountabilities, and authority parameters to assigned staff. I updated and reviewed medication policies and procedures to ensure high performance quality and patient safety standards. Managed a $4.7 million annual budget. I maintained and monitored expenditures, staffing standards, inventory processes, ordering, receiving, and formulary management to ensure compliance within budget parameters. While stationed at Naval Health Clinic's Hawaii (NHCH) in Pearl Harbor, HI I supervised 6 pharmacists and 14 technicians while managing a $5.2 million annual budget as the Department Head of Pharmacy Operations for 5 clinics. We provided comprehensive outpatient and clinical pharmacy services to approximately 61,000 eligible beneficiaries on the islands of Oahu and Kauai.

This was an accredited residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD known as the National Capital Consortium Pharmacy Practice Residency.

While stationed at the prominent National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD we served over 500,000 eligible beneficiaries in the greater National Capital Area. I supervised 20 pharmacists and 40 technicians while managing a $24.15 million annual budget as Division Officer of Outpatient Pharmacy Operations.

I processed prescriptions and ran the day to day operations of a chain pharmacy. I was involved in every aspect of pharmacy operations including inventory management, prescription processing, doctor call-backs, transfers, compounding, and patient counseling.
