Diane Cannon came to Dress for Success as a Chief Navigator and Mentor for Women changing careers in June of 2011. She has worked in the nonprofit arena for 22 years. She worked for Austin Independent School District for 10 years as a program coordinator with community classes and after school programs for both the city and the school district. She was the Executive Director for a small startup nonprofit that flourish into a national organization. Her previous jobs were focused on helping at risk and disadvantaged children and adults. Diane’s philosophy is that we are put on this earth to help other people and she has turned this philosophy into a workable passion serving as the Coordinator for Dress for Success. Her unique style of working and her great sense of humor with women helps make the ladies feel comfortable which breaks down the normal barriers. Diane is involved in her church The Austin Vineyard and a volunteer for Hearthstone Health Center serving elderly patients and has been an advocate for the mentally challenged.
