Working in this role, I bring my geoscience background and writing skills to assisting Geoscience BC in the preparation of external relations materials, including news releases and project updates. I also assist the Energy & Water Manager in by providing technical or grammatical reviews to research reports prior publication.

Responsible for the organization and relocation of the petrology collection during a major collections move. Also, beginning summer 2006, was Lead Curator for the Earth Science gallery in the planning stages of the Royal Museum Project, a £48 million redevelopment of the museum. Continued this role until leaving this position.

Worked within the Natural Sciences department to develop and implement education projects on geology. This included managing the very successful Geology Map of Scotland project, an initiative that involved 130 schools across Scotland, teaching them about earth sciences and having them collect local rocks to be made into a giant real life geological map of the country.

In charge of assimilating the organization's COSHH (chemical H&S) and Risk Assessment records, assisting departments in ensuring their completion and accuracy. Responsible for the development and maintenance of a central database for these records.

Workshop facilitator for teachers, to instruct them in delivering ESEU's teaching units on earth sciences and Scotland's Geology. Was also heavily involved in the development of these units prior to this time, as part of my work at National Museums Scotland.

As part of the Research Communication in Action program, I co-developed and co-delivered a series of workshops to science students who did outreach projects to schools and the public. The goal was to enhance their skills in communicating science to non-specialists.

Development and delivery of a 10 week accredited course for adults on computer graphics, using the CorelDRAW graphics suite

Created and maintained a database for core/thin section storage and analysis. Produced vector graphics of detailed geological maps and cross-sections etc for publication.
