Founder
CurrentI was asked by a friend what my 2018 New Year's resolution was. I didn't have a response, so I found inspiration from his -- start a business. I enjoyed my time volunteering as a Big Apple Greeter (NYC) and thought visitors to Denver should have the same opportunity and experience to meet a "local" and experience the city through their eyes. Hence Denver Greeter was born.Modeled after Big Apple Greeter, the first of it's kind, Denver Greeter hopes to be a travel destination from all corners of the world. Now there are over 120 destinations within the International Greeters Association that offers this FREE service to their visitors. In March 2019, Denver Greeter hosted the 13th Bi-Annual Global Greeter Network Conference, where the name change (to IGA) was deployed. 26 Greeters from 14 cities including New York City, Chicago, Houston, London, Paris, Brussels, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo descended on Denver and got to learn about the amazing, colorful Colorado. I was honored to be the first to offer live-streaming and recorded sessions for this conference.
