For someone who was an introvert, I’ve slowly become an extrovert. I used to shy away from people, afraid to say who I was and where I was from. But now I’ve grown to be able to public speak, and even present at a Ted Talk back in 2014. I talked about taking action and getting involved with your community as well as my journey of self-discovery. I am the person who is constantly looking for adventure and creativity. I consider myself book smart and street smart, I adapt to my surroundings and situations. Creativity runs in my family and in my blood. My hands are my tools; they help me bring my ideas to life. I’ve become the person I am because of my father who has led the path that I now walk on. He has taught me to be true and unique, and not let negativity stand in the way of my future. I’ve been a sister, a daughter, a student, a mentor, an organizer, an actor, a photographer, a painter, a break-dancer, an artesana, an artist and a leader. All of these factors in my life has helped me grow as an individual and has influenced me to inspire others around me. I love to travel. Anywhere I can go I will go.
