As a Pricipal Engineer at SimuTech Group, located in Rochester, New York, Dianne’s responsibilities include modeling electronic system designs for heat transfer and fluid flow simulations using ANSYS Icepak software for a variety of customers. Her capabilities also include performing static, dynamic and thermal finite element analyses, using ANSYS Mechanical as well as PCB fatigue analysis using ANSYS Sherlock. In addition, she provides project management support as well as technical support and training for ANSYS.Dianne acquired her experience in both industry and academia, as a design engineer, consultant and college instructor. She has experience in the aerospace industry, as a design and development engineer for electronic sub-systems within airborne and ground-based infrared products delivered to the United States Armed Forces. Throughout the time spent in academia as a lecturer, she also served the industry as an engineering consultant, completing contracts for a diverse set of products, including:• Vibration analysis of a fixed mount bar code reader with multiple mounting schemes and supervision of follow-up lab testing for verification of analysis results. • Structural analysis of a tower mounted radar system to investigate the effects of rotational inertia and wind loads on the mounting hardware. • Design and documentation of the support structure for an airborne weather radar antenna. • Design and analysis of an extendable tower used to support a radar antenna for Air Force research test
